There aren’t beaches in São Paulo, but certainly there’s a great variety of things to do and see. Last Sunday we went to MIS – Image and Soung Museum and saw the exhibition Frida Kahlo – Suas Fotos (something like “her photos”). It’s about her personal collection of photographies, found in her house years after she died.
The exhibition also shows a little about her world through a beautiful scenery.
MIS has lots of different exhibitions throughout the year, about Art, culture, cinema, photography, etc.
It’s located at 158 Europa Avenue, in Jardim Europa.
If you want to check out Frida Kahlo’s exhibition, it’ll be there until November 2016.
Besides fashion, I love culture and art, and here’s a great opportunity to see it for free.
This last Sunday of September (the 25th), Rio’s Museum of Art (MAR) will open its doors for the public to see the exhibition “A Cor do Brasil” (The Colour of Brazil) for free. There are more than 300 pieces of art, from the colonial period to the 21st century. The most important painting that people will be able to see is “Abaporu”, from Tarsila do Amaral, a very important painter from our country.
I wish I were in Rio to go to MAR, it’s such a beautiful place and I haven’t got the chance to visit it yet.
Hope you like the tip.
