I’ve got a passion for coffe and another for Canada. When the two of them are together then there’s nothing better! That’s why today’s post gathers three cafes that I used to go while I was doing my exchange in Montreal.
When we talk about Canada and cafes we have to mention Tim Hortons. In my opinion, the coffee itself isn’t that good – I used to drink the Mocca, which is made with chocolate and cream so that the taste of the coffee wouldn’t appear much. But the food… Do you know all those delicious american goodies like muffins, cookies and donuts? Tim has! And there are also the Timbits, tasty sweet balls made from donuts. Hmm.. mouthwatering. Besides the good price, you can find a Tim Hortons cafe everywhere in the city – and in Canada. Are you hungry? Go there!
I really love donuts!
Second Cup is a Starbucks-like cafe – there’s also lots of Starbucks in Montreal, but as we already know it in Brazil, I won’t talk about it. Second Cup has a cozy atmosphere and a big variety of products: coffee, tea, hot chocolate, pies, muffins, croissants and much more. Coffee itself is delicious, as they work with premium coffee beans. I liked to drink the Capuccino, and the hot chocolate is also really good.
As the best is always left for the end, there isn’t a cafe better than Cafe Olimpico, an italian shop in Mile End neighbourhood. To give you an idea of how good it is – and how much I like the place – I used to take a 30 min bus trip just to get there and have a latte with my friends and study. In Montreal people usually go to cafes to study and stay there all day – and so did I. Olimpico has a good variety of coffee, and some tasty food. I liked to eat the marble cake, it’s really good and it reminded me of home! The service is excellent and the place is cool, decorated with italian football theme. If you go to Montreal, visit this cafe for me! It’s in 124 St-Viateur West, Mile End.
Beuty tip today! I love Neutrogena’s products, every single one that I’ve tried is great. That’s why I’m here to share this tip with you, to keep your face always clean. It’s the Neutrogena Deep Clean Grapefruit, a really good facial cleanser! It leaves a fresh and clean feel on the skin, and has a delicious scent.
Let’s talk about trends? Each season we see lots of trends that come and go. They’re so many that we sometimes get lost and don’t know what to follow or not. Many people want to be in and wear clothes which don’t match their style and pieces with which they don’t feel comfortable at all. But how do we know which trend to follow?
The point is: you have to know which trend matches your own personal style, if you like what’s in and if you feel comfortable wearing the piece. If you don’t, it’s simple: don’t wear it! For example, military green is a great trend this season. I may think some looks are cool, but I don’t think it doesn’t suit my style. So I won’t follow it.
There are also situations where you think a trend is awful, but after you get used to it and end up enjoying it. This happened to me with the mix of patterns trend. When I started seeing “it girls” wearing tops and skirts or pants from different patterns, I thought: ew! But then I’ve got used to it and now I really admire who can wear it without looking like a clown and want to try it too.
That’s it! You have to think over your own style to know which trends to follow and which to leave behind. It’s not worth it to wear something you don’t feel good wearing just because it’s a trend – you can bet that it won’t turn out well. In this situation, taste, style and comfort are the key words for you to know which trends to follow.
